2X weekly in the FEELING room; Wednesday 12:15-1:15pm (except the 2nd Wednesday which is Soma Yoga with Ashima Khars) and every Wednesday evening 7:15-8:15pm.
This class will serve as an introduction to Kundalini Yoga, offering you a taste of the various ingredients that encompass the practice. The class will incorporate the practices of pranayama (breath techniques), kriya’s (movement), mudra (hand positions), drishti (eye focus), meditation, mantra (chanting), and savasana (deep relaxation). This class is available to students of all levels, regardless of experience or ability.
Facilitator: Sheri “Tej” Thompson is a yoga teacher, massage therapist, and artist living in the Old Village, Mt. Pleasant with her husband Curt, and her 12- year old Golden-Retriever, Isaac.
During her 20 years of teaching and practice, she has taught yoga throughout Charleston and Mt. Pleasant areas, including Studio Bliss: Yoga and Massage, The Sophia Institute, the Institute for Holistic Health, Jivamukti Yoga and many other venues.
Tej is certified to teach beginner, intermediate and advance Hatha Yoga under the lineage of Swami Satchitananda, and has her Kundalini Yoga certification under the lineage of Harbajan Singh Khalsa, also known as Yogi Bhajan.
