Explore Energy Healing with Midge Moran & Tanya Newton in an open Reiki Clinic.

What is Reiki? “Rei,” meaning spirit or aura and “ki,” meaning energy, is the channeling of “life force energy” through the practitioner to the client. Reiki is an ancient energy healing method to remove any energetic blockages and restore balance to the mind, body, emotions, and spirit.

Hi. My name is Tanya Newton, I am a native of Ukraine, born and raised in a small town Rubezhnoye in Eastern Ukraine. After primary school, I studied chemistry and chemical technologies, and I earned my Master’s degree in the field. I cannot say that chemistry was a field of great interest for me. I entered into this area of study mostly for the convenience of my family. The chemical College and the University were the only higher education schools in my town. After College, I spent a couple years in Siberia working at a petroleum refinery. Upon returning to my hometown, I continued my education at Chemical Technologies University.  After graduation, I worked as an economist in the supply department at the local chemical plant.

My spiritual path began later when I entered my thirties.  I had moved to Moscow and started a new career as a real estate agent. While living in Moscow, I attended a metaphysical school of positive thinking and I continued my study for two years. My teacher was Angelina Mogilevskaya who studied with our beloved Louise Hay, an American motivational author of many New Thought self-help books, including the 1984 book, “You Can Heal Your Life”.  She founded the Positive Thinking Movement and wrote many self-help books. She has been called, “The Queen of the New Age”. My studies at this school marked a turning point for me, an eye-opening experience, and eventually a life-changing experience.  Angelina and her husband Nikolay were Reiki Masters and awarded me with my first initiation into Reiki 1.

Soon after, I met Uliana Tsoy who was well known as a very gifted, natural-born healer and Reiki Master. I attended her workshops. After the first few workshops, I knew I had found what I was looking for in life. I continued my training with Uliana and was reinitiated into Reiki1 and later in Reiki 2 with my new teacher. At about this time, I began to notice positive changes in my life witnessing the power of energy work, intention, and positive thinking.  Events manifested in my life one after another as a direct result of the force of Reiki energy and my own thoughts.

In November 2004, I moved to the USA and continued my spiritual journey; a journey that promised many events and experiences ahead.  Since 2007 I was attending Daytona State College and taking courses in behavioral science. I was working at the same college and facilitating the “Fresh Start” course with another professional who was a family licensed therapist and a life coach at that time. This 30 days class was repeated monthly for the new comers and we taught men and women in transition to achieve success on all levels of their lives. The major focus of this course was to help people in transition to start all over, to find a job, to return back to school, and to move forward after experiencing difficult times.

I was about to graduate when a new chapter of my life begun. In 2013, I traveled to England where I trained and received additional Reiki initiations with Reiki Master, Anita O’Hagan in the healing arts of Tera-Mai and Seichem.  Anita was a student of Kathleen Ann Milner, a Tera-Mai Reiki founder.   She is a very gifted healer, an artist, and author.  She travels and teaches workshops around the world.   I earned several more Reiki certificates while in England and was initiated into all levels in Tera-Mai Reiki and Seichem.

My education in spiritual work and healing continued.  I was initiated into Advanced Reiki and attuned to Angelic Reiki by Pamela Youngquist. Pamela is a Native American Indian and a very spiritual and gifted Master Teacher. Soon after, I received five rites from the Munay-Ki lineage of the Earth Keepers in Peru. About the same time, I took a few sessions and workshops with Patrick Zeigler from New Zealand who is the founder of “All Love” training.

From 2012 to 2015 I worked on an important project as an advocate for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.  I traveled across the USA working this program in Ohio, Texas, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, and Washington State.  An advocacy agency in Maine asked me to help them so I settled there for another four years. In Maine, I studied with several healers and shamans and was introduced to a shamanic journey and healing through “The Standing Bear Center for Shamanic Studies” run by Scarlet Kinney.  During my time in Maine, I enrolled at the University of Maine in Augusta and began a bachelor degree program in mental health.  I am currently working in the field of mental health.

In 2016, I visited with Kathleen Ann Milner in Virginia and was reinitiated into all levels of Golden Tera-Mai Reiki, Tera Mai Seichem, Heart Chakra Initiation, Violent Flame, Egyptian Archetypal Initiation, and Third Eye Initiation. In the same year I traveled to Arizona where I spent ten days living with the Navajo tribe on their reservation.  I received their blessings, went through the fire ceremony and studied the ancient healing approaches used by the Navajo tribe for generations.  I was adopted by a Navajo family and have been invited to return any time I wished.

Over the past 20 years I have studied and learned a great deal on the subjects of metaphysical sciences and many other modalities of the healing arts and energy work. My most recent trainings include DBT/ Mindfulness training, Interpersonal/Relationships Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation/ ThetaHealing certification, Soul Mates certificate, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) training, Trauma Informed Training, and Reiki Master certificate. I am an advanced student of Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University in India and I continue my intensive study with my teachers-yogis who live in the USA and travel to India frequently. A Raja Yoga knowledge and meditation has a profound impact on my life; it makes dramatic changes and addition to all spiritual practices that I follow. I am finishing my Bachelor degree in Mental Health and moving towards Master degree in Marriage Therapy counseling.
